Axel Carl Carlsson

I conduct research in primary care and supervise PhD students working on projects ranging from early cancer detection to studies on high blood pressure and cardiovascular risk in the general population.

Currently, I have significant research funding aimed at early detection of dementia in primary care settings and prioritized collaborations in mental health.

My personal interest lies in longevity. With my broad background in prevention and medical research, I aim to find ways of living and to identify medications with preventive benefits that can lead to more years with a high level of health. In my research, I increasingly utilize machine learning methods and AI.
