About me

  • I have been involved in suicide-related research since 2011, with a focus on register-based epidemiology, at the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NASP), Solna campus. Since then, I have led and contributed to projects at NASP focusing on identifying and reporting epidemiological patterns in suicide rates, developing evidence-based suicide prevention recommendations and priorities, and facilitating timely public health reporting and communication.

I hold a PhD in Medical Science, with a background in experimental psychology (BSc, MSc). I am affiliated with the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) at Karolinska Institutet, as well as the Centre for Health Economics, Informatics and Health Services Research (CHIS), Region Stockholm.

My doctoral thesis examined adolescents’ screen time in relation to public health. The project, “Screen Time Effects on Adolescent Mental Health” (STEAM), primarily investigated depressive symptoms as an outcome of screen time, and coping behaviours and sleep habits as potential buffering factors. The study utilised data from two previous cluster-randomised trials: the YAM and SUPREME trial.

My office is located at Granits väg 4, Solna (ground floor).
