About me
My academic journey began with a background in statistics, which I studied at Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology. I later moved to Ireland to pursue an MSc in Actuarial Science at University College Cork, where I further developed my interest in quantitative modelling and data analysis. This experience led me to continue my research training at University College Cork, where I completed my PhD in Statistics.
Outside of research, I enjoy singing, playing tennis, watching TV series, and trying out new sports. I am always curious and enjoy learning new skills, both in my work and in everyday life.
Research
I focus on the development and application of statistical and machine learning methods for biomedical data analysis, particularly in the context of spatial transcriptomics and spatial multi-omics.
I am interested in understanding how computational approaches can be used to extract biological insights from complex high-dimensional data, including cell-type deconvolution, spatial pattern analysis, and the integration of transcriptomic and proteomic information. More broadly, I am motivated by research that connects quantitative methodology with real biomedical questions, especially in cancer and tissue microenvironment studies.
