About me
I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, Karolinska Institutet. My doctoral research focuses on RNA and ribosome biology in skeletal muscle physiology and disease, with a particular interest in ribosome heterogeneity, rRNA modification, and translational regulation.
Through my PhD work, I have studied how ribosome composition and rRNA epitranscriptomic modifications are remodelled across different skeletal muscle conditions, including hypertrophy, regeneration, inflammation, and disease-related muscle remodeling. I am particularly interested in how changes in ribosome heterogeneity and RNA modification contribute to translational control and disease-relevant molecular mechanisms.
