About me
I am the communications officer at the Centre for Health Crises, where I work with both the strategic development of the Centre’s communication and day-to-day communication activities.
I develop communication materials, plan and conduct communication activities and maintain media relations, in an effort tot support the Centre’s advocacy, policy engagement, and education initiatives. The central goal of my work is to strengthen the visibility and impact of the Centre’s expertise, support colleagues in their outreach work, and promote that our knowledge is used to inform and benefit society
In addition to my role at the Centre, I also work in a similar capacity in the research group Global Disaster Medicine - Health Needs and Response at the Department of Global Public Health.
Education and professional background:
- Master’s degree, International journalism, City University of London
- ERASMUS exchange programme, International relations, Sciences Po, Paris
- Bachelor's degree, Political science, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow
Prior to joining KI, I worked with communication for humanitarian organisations in Latin America, and in television production companies in the UK. In my spare time, I co-produce and present two history podcasts.
Teaching
On request, I give lectures and workshops on communication in international work environments, popular science writing, and media relations.
