Over the years, more than 3000 students, researchers and employees have crossed the Atlantic and participated in activities at both Mayo Clinic and KI. This longstanding partnership has evolved throughout the years and includes successful research projects as well as unique collaborations in innovation, administration and education.

Mayo Clinic and Karolinska Institutet are celebrating 30 years of collaboration by moving their next joint research meeting to spring 2027 at Mayo Clinic’s Jacksonville campus, with a focus on RNA therapeutics, precision health, and decentralized care.
Cancer Research KI-Mayo Clinic CCC Synergy Grants
Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center and Cancer Research KI are announcing major funding for cancer research collaborations through their Synergistic Grants 2027–2031, with a special focus on REDI (Risk Assessment, Early Detection and Interception), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data‑Driven Life Science (DDLS).
